Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated and manual tests to validate thermal system performance.
- Collaborate with control and firmware engineers to validate and improve thermal control algorithms.
- Perform system validation for current and next-generation Tesla Energy products.
- Analyze fleet and test data to identify issues and recommend improvements.
- Validate thermal system simulation results with experimental data.
- Prepare technical reports and test summaries for stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally with controls, firmware, mechanical design, and reliability organizations.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in thermal system integration.
- Excellent understanding of Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer.
- Experience with hardware and/or test-benches for evaluating thermal system performance.
- Proficiency in Python and C programming languages.
- Preferred experience with MATLAB/Simulink and data acquisition systems.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work on open-ended projects.
