Responsibilities
- Work on the design, release, and launch of seat belt system components.
- Collaborate with various vehicle design teams including interiors, body, firmware, and manufacturing.
- Involve in the full design cycle of high-volume seat belt components, including conceptualization and detailed CAD design.
- Support the design and implementation of passive safety systems in new vehicles.
- Conduct testing and R&D projects related to safety systems.
- Utilize data acquisition equipment and perform data analysis.
- Participate in hands-on prototyping projects and electro-mechanical system integration tasks.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CAD software (3Dx or Catia V5) and basic coding (e.g., Arduino).
- Prior internship or work experience with product design and/or automotive engineering.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work collaboratively.
- Familiarity with manufacturing technologies and material selection.
- Previous hands-on experience with tools and machine shop equipment.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, including GD&T and dimensional engineering.
