Mechanical Design Engineer

The Mechanical Design Engineer will design, develop, and commercialize next-generation technology systems, focusing on electrification and power conversion for automotive and energy storage applications.

• Design and build hardware systems for automotive and energy storage applications
• Develop and optimize designs in 3D CAD software
• Validate manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility
• Create designs interactively with a multidisciplinary team
• Complete and release component designs and documentation
• Integrate mechanical designs with high-voltage electrical systems
• Optimize mechanical designs for various performance criteria

• 1-3 years direct work experience in motor design and thermal management
• Strong 3D CAD skills with proficiency in at least one professional package
• Understanding of GD&T and experience with component design and validation
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes like injection molding and die casting
• Excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills
• Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Hands-on mechanical fabrication and prototyping experience preferred
