Responsibilities
- Analyze and track on-orbit hardware failures for the Starshield satellite constellation.
- Drive root cause investigation for major on-orbit hardware anomalies.
- Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines to eliminate sources of on-orbit failure.
- Build and use tools to analyze data from both on-orbit and ground testing.
- Improve the feedback loop from space through effective communication and automation.
- Provide data-driven insights to enhance design and production processes.
- Ensure comprehensive monitoring systems for fleet health.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or another STEM discipline.
- 2+ years of professional experience in hardware development, troubleshooting, or data analysis.
- 1+ years of experience with Python or SQL.
- Strong understanding of failure mechanisms for electronic, mechanical, or optical systems.
- Experience leading failure investigations and root cause analysis.
- Ability to work in a highly cross-functional role.
- Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain one.
