Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and inspire the engineering team to align with organizational goals.
- Manage the mechanical engineering team through planning, delegating, and training.
- Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles and quality standards.
- Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute mechanical engineering activities.
- Plan continuous improvement efforts to meet departmental goals.
- Mentor and develop employees, providing feedback and encouraging development opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 10 years of design experience and 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with electro-mechanical motion control and structural analysis in a regulated industry.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to engage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
