Responsibilities
- Participate in all design stages of a harsh environment electrical connector development project.
- Interpret customer design input requirements and develop scope of work.
- Engage in early-stage concept development and create preliminary 3D CAD models.
- Present design concepts as part of Preliminary Design Review.
- Finalize 3D CAD models and generate 2D CAD drawings.
- Work with procurement to select vendors and procure prototypes.
- Create Design Validation Test Plan and assist in testing setup.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering program.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical design principles.
- Familiarity with metals, plastics, and rubber materials is helpful.
- Experience in CAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must continue enrollment in degree program post-internship.
- U.S. person status required due to ITAR regulations.
- Good standing in academic program.
