Responsibilities
- Own and design the entire product design life-cycle, including requirements gathering, concept generation, and manufacturing release.
- Develop and execute designs for complex systems backed by thorough engineering analysis.
- Create test plans, perform testing, and validate designs to meet engineering requirements.
- Troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve potential technical issues.
- Influence product design through mechanical engineering expertise and data-driven decisions.
- Identify and scope projects around innovation opportunities and technology risks.
- Provide engineering knowledge and mentor team members.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in designing mechanical components.
- Proficiency in CAD tools and analysis tools (e.g., Solidworks, ANSYS).
- Preferred PhD degree in a related field.
- Experience in mechanical design, particularly in data center environments.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies and tolerance analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
