Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new avionics designs for the New Glenn launch vehicle.
- Oversee existing avionics designs and ensure they meet performance standards.
- Manage a team of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in avionics development.
- Collaborate with the Avionics Architect to reduce costs and weight while enhancing performance.
- Interface with Supply Chain for avionics components.
- Address evolving requirements and constraints in avionics development.
- Ensure adherence to safety and mission-critical standards in avionics systems.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering or equivalent technical field.
- 20+ years of experience in avionics systems design, development, and operations.
- Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
- Knowledge of fault-tolerance strategies for safety-critical systems.
- Familiarity with avionics, propulsion, and control systems.
- Experience with requirements development and subsystem interfaces.
- Background in working with U.S. Government research agencies such as NASA.
